Just save it under a different name before you start drawing. You can use it as a template for every new texture or mirrored Image you want to draw.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s get started:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create your document as a square for eg. 1024 X 1024, 2048 X 2048, 4096 X 4096 and so on.<\/li>\n<li>Create 3 layers.\n<ul>\n<li>One layer will be set up a way, that will mirror left and right.<\/li>\n<li>One layer will mirror top and bottom.<\/li>\n<li>One layer will be a normal layer, where you can draw freely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Name the layers. For eg. &#8220;left right mirror&#8221;, &#8220;top bottom mirror&#8221;, &#8220;free layer&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Set up the layer &#8220;left right mirror&#8221; the way it&#8217;s described in this tutorial: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vecteezy.com\/deals\/how-to-do-live-mirror-drawing-in-adobe-illustrator-cc\"; target=\"_blank\";>https:\/\/www.vecteezy.com\/deals\/how-to-do-live-mirror-drawing-in-adobe-illustrator-cc<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Do the same with you &#8220;top bottom layer&#8221;, but this time set the axis of symmetry under <strong>Effect &gt; Distort &amp; Transform &gt; Transform\u2026<\/strong> (Step 4) to &#8220;reflect Y&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t do anything with the &#8220;free layer&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your layers should now look like this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-629\" src=\"http:\/\/diowonderland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Illus_tut_SeamlessTextures_LayersMenu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"257\"><\/p>\n<p>And work like this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you select the layer &#8220;left right mirror&#8221; and draw something, it should be reflected verticaly.<\/li>\n<li>If you select the layer &#8220;top bottom mirror&#8221;, your drawing should be reflected horizontaly.<\/li>\n<li>If you draw on the &#8220;free layer&#8221; nothing should be reflected. ^^<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2192 If so, you are done!<\/p>\n<p>Save this setup and carry on with a different name for your document. Start drawing your first texture.
